Hey Family! We are The Barnes', we've been called many things, a power couple, a dynamic duo, and hashtag couple goals. While all that sounds nice, the truth is most days we find ourselves knee-deep in dirty diapers, struggling with third-grade math, and just trying to hold it all together.

The one place we DO live up to all those accolades is on stage! 

 

Bernadette is a Baltimore-born singer/songwriter. She has been described as a vocal powerhouse. Her sound is as unique as the city in which she was born. Baltimore is a place where the buzz of The North East meets the charm of The South and Bernadette’s voice reflects just that. With a mix of melodic undertones and racy runs, her voice will leave you spellbound. She combines the grace of the late great Whitney Houston, The Quirky Creativity of Erykah Badu with the raw power of Jennifer Hudson. She has graced some of the world’s most prominent stages including McDonald’s Gospel Fest, Groove NYC, and even made an appearance at the 2018 U.S Open. Her sound can neither be defined nor contained. She’s a true original.

Eugene is a comedian, actor, host, and writer. His clean yet edgy, family brand of comedy has been featured on some of New Yorks biggest comedy stages including Caroline's On Broadway and Gotham Comedy Club. He has hosted events for major corporations including Unilever, PepsiCo, Pfizer, and Twitter. In 2019 he released his first hour long comedy special "Comedy with Class" in association with Sunny Daze media and Brooklyn Free Speech. "The Come Up", a web series that Eugene co-wrote with fellow comedian and writer Ryan Roman and writer/director Glenn McBride Jr. has received numerous awards including Best Comedy Script at both The Vegas Movie Awards and The Oniros Film Awards in New York. Eugene also has a successful commercial acting career, having appeared in commercials for major brands including Udemy and Amazon.

We have both been featured at The Prudential Center in Newark, NJ where we performed in front of 15,000 fans. We also travel the country performing live music together, you'll catch us doing covers of your favorite Hip Hop and R&B songs. We're also working on original music. Our kids Zoe, Zora, and Zachariah often get in on the act.
